The Christmas wreath
A moss base, Kent foliage, cones and berries, made at the bench and finished with a ribbon in the colour you choose. It is ready for the door from the last week of November, collected from the studio or delivered by the van.

From the first Sunday of Advent to Twelfth Night the studio is foliage, candlelight and the smell of pine. There are wreaths for the door, flowers for the table, and something for every festival of light along the way.
For the door
Every wreath is made at the bench on a moss base (no foam) with fir, pine, eucalyptus and holly cut that week, cones and dried oranges, and a ribbon in the colour you choose. Hang it in the porch and it keeps to Twelfth Night; a wreath workshop runs at the bench in December for anyone who would rather make their own.
For the table
A long, low arrangement for the middle of the table, made so people can see over it; amaryllis and hellebores in the vase; a bunch through the door for the people you cannot get to. Order the table flowers for Christmas Eve delivery by the Sunday before.
Every festival of light
Diwali, Advent, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, the New Year and Epiphany all fall inside these weeks, and the studio marks each in its own colours: marigolds and candles for Diwali, white and blue for Hanukkah, holly and fir for Christmas, red, green and black for Kwanzaa, and something clean and green for the first week of January. Name the occasion on the card and it is arranged to suit it.
