Flowers, just because

The flowers that arrive for no reason are the ones people remember, because nobody was expecting them. A Tuesday bunch need not be big: a hand-tied of whatever came in fresh from the auction (the studio's own choice of the week) is enough, and the season decides whether it is tulips, peonies, dahlias or hydrangea. The card can say almost nothing and still say a great deal.

Send them to somebody else, or to yourself for the kitchen table; a subscription does the second on a rhythm without anyone thinking about it. The van delivers across Sevenoaks and the towns around it the same day before the cut-off (Tunbridge Wells the next day), and the letterbox box posts a bunch anywhere in the UK for next day.
