Flower & Glory is the trading name of the florist at 12 Blacks Yard, Blighs Meadow, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 1DS. These terms apply to everything bought from Flower & Glory on this website, by phone or in the shop. Ordering means you accept them; nothing in them takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer. Write to us about anything here at enquiries@flowerandglory.co.uk, or call the shop on 01732 743419.

Ordering, and when the contract is made

Add what you want to the basket, tell us where it is going and when, and pay. The email you get straight afterwards confirms that we have received the order; the contract is made when we accept it, which we do by starting work on it. We say this so that a plain mistake (a price typed wrong, a flower the market has run out of) can be put right by a phone call rather than a lawsuit. If anything about your order has to change, we will always contact you first, and you can cancel for a full refund if the change is not acceptable.

Orders by phone are taken during opening hours (Monday – Saturday 9:00 – 17:00; Sunday Closed). We may decline an order, for example where the address is outside the areas we deliver to or the message on the card is one we will not write. If we do, you will not be charged.

Prices and payment

Every price on the website includes VAT at the current rate. Prices are in pounds sterling. Online, payment is taken in full when you order, by Stripe, either in Stripe’s card field on our checkout page or on Stripe’s own secure page; we never see your card number. In the shop we take cards, cash and gift vouchers. An account customer may be invoiced; the invoice says when it is due. On the first of each month we email every account customer who owes anything a statement of their account. If an invoice is still unpaid 7 days after it falls due, we send one reminder. A discount code or a gift voucher is judged again by our own system at the checkout, whatever the basket showed, and the price you pay is the one on the checkout page.

The flowers

Every bunch is made to order with flowers bought directly from the auction, from what is at its best that week, so the stems vary with the season and with the day. The shape, the size, the colours and the feel are what you see in the photograph; the exact flowers are the studio’s pick. Where a flower is not available we substitute one of the same quality and colour, and where the substitution would change the look we will say so rather than do it quietly. Cut flowers are perishable: with a fresh cut and clean water a hand-tied bouquet lasts five to seven days, and the care card with every order says how to get the most from it.

Delivery and collection

  • Same day — orders placed online before 11:00 on a delivery day are made and delivered the same day, except to Tunbridge Wells, which is delivered the next delivery day at the earliest; after that, the next delivery day is the earliest, and the checkout only offers days we actually go out (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat). The shop is shut on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, and on the bank holidays taken in their place; those and the shop’s other closures are shown on the delivery page, and the checkout never offers them.
  • Where and how much — by our own van across Sevenoaks & villages from £7.95; Tonbridge & Hildenborough from £12.95; Tunbridge Wells from £20; type a postcode on the shop or delivery page, or in the basket, and it tells you the charge before you pay. Letterbox flowers and subscriptions are sent anywhere in mainland UK by DPD, tracked. Delivery, by van or by post, is free on orders of £150 and over, judged on the goods before any discount code.
  • Where fresh flowers start — the fresh flowers and plants in a website order come to at least £50, for the time each one takes to make. Candles and the rest of the shop can be bought for any amount.
  • Collection — from the shop at 12 Blacks Yard, Blighs Meadow, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 1DS is free. Choose it at the checkout and we will tell you when the order is ready.
  • Timing — we deliver through the day on a round planned each morning. Tell us in the “For the driver” box at the checkout if the flowers must land before a certain time and we will do our best; for a funeral we always ring to confirm. We cannot guarantee a time slot.
  • Nobody home — we deliver once. The driver leaves the flowers somewhere safe and dry, or with a neighbour, and tells you where. Flowers left as instructed are delivered. If an address is wrong or nobody can be found and nowhere is safe, we bring them back and ring you: collect them from the shop, or we bring them again for the delivery charge.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Because every order is made for you from perishable stems, the fourteen-day right to change your mind that applies to most things bought online does not apply to fresh flowers (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 exempt goods that deteriorate rapidly). What we do instead:

  • Before we start — an order can be changed or cancelled for a full refund up to the cut-off on the day before delivery. Ring the shop, because an email may not be read in time. On the day itself the flowers have been bought and made, so a cancellation cannot be refunded, though we will happily deliver them somewhere else in the same area.
  • If they are not right — tell us within forty-eight hours of delivery, with a photograph if you can, and we will replace them or refund you, whichever you prefer. That is a promise, and it sits alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for goods that are not as described or not of satisfactory quality. Our refunds and flower guarantee sets it out in full.
  • Your statutory rights — are not affected by anything on this page. Goods must be as described, fit for their purpose and of satisfactory quality; a service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill; and where something is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and then to a price reduction or a refund. Where these terms say less than the law, the law applies.
  • Home & Glory — homeware, candles and gifts can be returned within fourteen days of receiving them, unused and in their packaging, for an exchange or a refund; bring them to the shop or post them to us at your own cost, and the refund goes to the card you paid with within fourteen days. Made-to-order and personalised pieces are excepted.
  • Refunds — go back to the way you paid. A card refund takes a few working days to show; a gift voucher’s share goes back onto the voucher.

Gift vouchers

A gift voucher is money on account with us. It can be spent at the checkout, at the counter, or towards the first delivery of a subscription, in one go or over several visits, on anything we sell. It is valid for 12 months from the day it is bought; the date is on the voucher itself. It cannot be exchanged for cash, and the person who receives it cannot ask for the money instead of the flowers. The person who bought it may cancel within fourteen days of purchase for a full refund, provided none of it has been spent. A lost code can be looked up from the email it was sent to. Where a printed card by post is added, the charge shown at the checkout covers the card, the envelope and the postage; it goes by ordinary post to the address given, and the emailed code works from the moment it is paid for whether or not the card has arrived.

Flower subscriptions

  • What it is — seasonal letterbox flowers, house choice every time, from £55 a delivery, weekly or fortnightly. Every subscription is made and posted on Wednesdays, the same day for everyone, and arrives the next working day. The price you see on the plan is the price per delivery, including VAT and postage.
  • Paying — your card is charged on the day each delivery is made, through Stripe, for as long as the subscription runs: you pay for each delivery as it goes out, never a month in advance. There is no minimum term and no joining fee. We tell you before any change to the price, and you can stop before it takes effect.
  • Businesses on account — flowers for a business can be delivered weekly or fortnightly without a card: each delivery is invoiced to the business’s account as it goes out, on the payment terms agreed with us, and a statement of the account follows at the start of every month.
  • Pausing, skipping, stopping — from your account, at any time, with one click and no phone call: skip the next delivery, pause for as long as you like (nothing is charged while paused), or cancel altogether. A change made before the studio’s subscription day applies to that week; one made after it applies to the next.
  • Changing your mind — you have fourteen days from starting a subscription to cancel it for a refund of anything not yet delivered. A box already made and posted is a delivery you asked for and is not refunded, but if it is not right we replace or refund it as above.
  • Gifts — a subscription can be given to somebody else, and a gift voucher can pay for its first delivery, or as much of it as it covers; after that, payments go on the card of whoever set it up until it is paused or stopped.

Your account, discount codes and The Bunch

  • An account — is free and optional. It keeps your orders, addresses and the people you send to, and it is yours to close at any time from the account itself. Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your signed-in account is taken to be done by you until you tell us otherwise.
  • Discount codes — are judged by our own system at the checkout and at the counter against the rules the code was made with (its dates, a minimum spend, once per customer, the products it covers), and one code applies to an order. A personal code is for the person it was sent to.
  • The Bunch — is our loyalty scheme: a member earns stems on every paid order, turns them into a money-off code from their account, and stands in a tier (Bud, Bloom or Glory) worked out from what they have earned in the last twelve months. Stems have no cash value, cannot be transferred, expire as the scheme’s rules on the rewards page say, and are taken back if the order that earned them is refunded. The benefits a tier carries are listed there; the ones the studio honours in person (first out on the van, a seat at a workshop) are at the studio’s discretion on the day. We may change or end the scheme with notice on that page; stems already earned stay spendable for their lifetime.

Dates that send themselves

A standing order sends a bunch to somebody on a date every year (a birthday, an anniversary) without you having to remember. Setting one up, or changing it, is your instruction to place the order; here is exactly what happens after that:

  • Within three months of a yes — an order inside 92 days of your last confirmation or last charge is placed 3 days before the delivery with no further word, at that day’s price for the bunch plus the delivery charge for the address, charged to the card you saved.
  • Otherwise we ask first — 21 days before, one email with one button. Press it and the order is placed as above; ignore it and we remind you once with a week to go; still nothing by the placing day and the order is skipped, you are told, and the date moves to next year. A link in an email cannot charge your card; only the button on the page it opens can.
  • A card that declines — is told to you once and tried again each morning until two days before the delivery; after that the order is skipped rather than made late.
  • Your card — is saved by Stripe on their own pages and never seen by us; we hold only a reference to it. Remove it from your account and every standing order that used it pauses until another is saved.
  • Changing your mind — pause, skip or delete a standing order from your account at any time before it is placed. Once placed it is an ordinary order and the rules above for changes and refunds apply.

Courses and workshops

A place on a course is booked and paid for online or in the shop and confirmed by email. A place can be moved or refunded with seven days' notice. Inside seven days the flowers for it have been ordered, so the place can be given to somebody else but not refunded. If we have to cancel a session (a tutor unwell, too few places filled), we offer another date or a full refund. Everything needed is provided and what you make is yours to take home.

Weddings and events

Every wedding and event starts with a consultation and a written quotation by kind of piece, valid for thirty days. A deposit of 30% of the quotation, paid when you confirm, secures the date; it is not refundable if the booking is cancelled, because the date has been held for you. The balance is due three weeks before a wedding and a week before any other event, and a booking made closer to the day than that is paid in full when it is confirmed. Final numbers and changes are welcome up to the balance date; after that the flowers have been bought. Flowers for an event are the studio’s design to the brief agreed with you; the quotation says which flowers are intended, and where the season or the market forces a substitution we tell you before the day. Hired items (vases, stands, an arch) remain ours and are collected after the event; breakages are charged at cost. The whole of how a booking works (changes, the flowers on the day, hired items, cancelling and moving the date) is in our wedding and event booking terms.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for something we could not reasonably have foreseen, for delays caused by things outside our control (weather that closes roads, a postal strike, a supplier failing us) beyond putting them right as soon as we can, or for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Complaints, and the law

If something has gone wrong, tell us by email, by phone or in the shop, and a person will put it right; our complaints policy says how quickly and by whom. If we cannot agree, Citizens Advice (0808 223 1133) can advise you on what to do next, and nothing here stops you taking a dispute to court. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.

Text messages. If you give us a mobile number and ask for them, we text at three moments (the flowers on the van, ready to collect, delivered) and never to sell you anything. Reply STOP and they stop.

Accessibility. We want everybody to be able to order from us; our accessibility statement says where we are and how to get help, and the shop will always take an order by phone.

Our privacy notice says what we hold about you and why (including that the records behind an order are kept for 6 years because tax law requires it), and the cookies page says what the website puts on your device. Both are linked from the foot of every page.

Last read through 16 September 2026. If these terms change, the history below says when; the terms in force are the ones on this page when you order.

History of this document

Every version, with the day it took effect (and, where we published a change, the minute). The version in force is the one on this page.

  1. Version 2.5The studio's answers: the flowers are bought directly from the auction; Tunbridge Wells is delivered the next day; the shop is shut on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day; we deliver once, and flowers with nowhere safe to be left come back to the shop to be collected or brought again for the delivery charge; the Bunch's perks honoured in person are first out on the van and a seat at a workshop.
  2. Version 2.4Read against the site as it runs: no reminder is promised before the first payment after a pause (none is sent); a gift voucher pays towards a subscription's first delivery; a delivery time goes in the box for the driver; the postcode is checked on the shop and delivery pages or in the basket.
  3. Version 2.3Posting is by DPD, tracked, priced by what the parcel weighs where the studio sets a price list; a piece too heavy or too long for DPD, or a liquid over 50 ml, is delivered by our van or collected instead.
  4. Version 2.2Delivery: free on orders over the studio's threshold, posting anywhere in the UK for what can travel, and where fresh flowers online start. Subscriptions are weekly or fortnightly and paid as each delivery goes out; a business on account is invoiced for each delivery, with a statement at the start of every month and one reminder when an invoice is past its date.
  5. Version 2.1Weddings and events: the deposit is 30% on confirming and the balance three weeks before a wedding (a week before any other event), as the studio actually books them.
  6. Version 2.0Moved to /legal/terms. Reviewed and expanded: the consumer's statutory rights set out in full, The Bunch, standing orders and saved cards, the flower guarantee cross-referenced, and the dated history on this page.
  7. Version 1.0First published, written from the shop's own delivery rules, plans and voucher settings.
