Flowers for Eid
Eid comes twice a year. Each is a day of prayer, family, food and visits, and flowers are a welcome present for the house or the hosts.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, and Eid al-Adha comes about seventy days later, at the time of the pilgrimage to Mecca. Both are days of prayer, new clothes, food and visits to family and friends, and people greet each other with Eid Mubarak.
There is no set colour for Eid flowers: a generous bunch for a house full of visitors, or a present for the family you are visiting, says it well. The date of each Eid follows the sighting of the new moon, so the dates below are expected dates and can move by a day.
